WindCheck Magazine The Narragansett Bay Yachting Association – WindCheck Magazine

The Narragansett Bay Yacht Association started in 1938 when local sailors joined together to make racing more fair and organized. In the early years, small sailboats called one-design boats were the main focus. As new types of boats were built, NBYA created systems so everyone could race together. The group also held big family regattas with hundreds of boats and fun weekend events on the water. Today, NBYA still brings sailors of all ages together to race, learn, and celebrate the love of sailing on Narragansett Bay
