The NBYA (Narragansett Bay Yachting Association) Junior Sailing Program is a youth-focused sailing initiative designed to introduce young sailors to the fundamentals of sailing, racing, and water safety. Geared towards developing confidence, seamanship, and competitive skills, the program offers a mix of hands-on instruction, regattas, and team-building activities. With a strong emphasis on sportsmanship and fun, NBYA Junior Sailing helps young athletes grow both on and off the water while fostering a lifelong love for sailing.
When you become an NBYA member you become part of an organization that helps youth to develop a love for racing, your child will be in the know on seminars, first chance on signing up for regattas and free entry to the kick off & end of season banquet.
At NBYA, your membership does more than give you access to great racing, events, and resources—it keeps the entire organization afloat. Membership dues directly support race management, youth sailing initiatives, safety programs, and the preservation of our bay’s vibrant boating community.
By being a part of NBYA, you help maintain the infrastructure that brings sailors together across Narragansett Bay. Your involvement ensures we can continue to host top-tier regattas, foster the next generation of sailors, and advocate for recreational boating in Rhode Island.
