Rhode Island Yacht Club is pleased to host the 2025 Ladies Cup Regatta on June 20th, celebrating the competitive spirit of women sailors in Narragansett Bay.

Believed to be one of the oldest perpetual trophies in women’s sailing, the Ladies Cup has been awarded intermittently since its inception in 1898.

In the spirit of the event, all boats must have women captains and crews comprising at least 50% women. 100% female captain and crew gain a 10-second per mile PHRF
advantage.

PHRF racing will be held in the waters directly off the Rhode Island Yacht Club, with the first race starting at 13:15. The Ladies Cup perpetual trophy will be awarded to the winner of the PHRF distance race. Moorings can be obtained on Dockwa. Race entrance fee waived for participants who reserve moorings or slips.

For further information, contact the Ladies Cup Committee Chairperson, David Blezard at race@riyc.orh
