In fact, we're planning to roughly double our 2026 investment in programs and initiatives for 2027.** Our Executive Committee has already begun the work of setting priorities and organizing our efforts for next year. Some of this is about building on what worked in 2026. We're looking to take our Junior Sailing, Women's Sailing, and Boat of the Year programs to the next level. We've made good progress, but there is much more we can do. We're also looking at several new opportunities. These include better support for one-design and radio-controlled sailing, improving access to qualified judges and protest committees, and using NBYA's reach to promote better safety practices across the Bay. Perhaps our biggest ambition is to make it materially easier for people to find, try, and stay engaged in sailing. We call this our *Sailing On-Ramps* initiative. It includes better crew and boat connections, easier access to information, stronger social programming, and clearer pathways into the sport. Sailing has struggled with some of these challenges for decades. We think NBYA, working closely with our member clubs and other organizations, can make a meaningful difference. We're also exploring a more substantial sponsorship program to help fund these efforts. The goal isn't to grow NBYA for the sake of growing NBYA.
