The annual Invitational featured racing in the Optimist, Open Skiff, Club 420, and ILCA classes and, for the first time, served as an important stop on the Narragansett Bay Yachting Association (NBYA) Junior Racing Series, with competitors earning valuable points toward the season-long NBYA annual standings.
Leading the event was Event Chair Michael Reuter, who also served as Principal Race Officer (PRO) for the Optimist and Open Skiff fleets. Mike Zanni directed racing as Principal Race Officer for the Club 420 and ILCA fleets. Zanni, NBYA President, also stepped in as NBYA representative. The experienced PROs, supported by an outstanding team of race committee members, mark-set volunteers, safety boat operators, and shore-side volunteers, ensured a professionally managed regatta from start to finish.
Summer conditions on Narragansett Bay challenged sailors with shifting winds and tactical racecourses that tested boat handling, strategy, and consistency. Competitors responded with impressive performances throughout the two-day event, demonstrating the depth of junior sailing talent in Rhode Island's local sailing programs.

With another successful regatta in the books, junior sailors now look ahead to the remaining events on the NBYA schedule as the race for the 2026 season championships continues.
