This season offered more seasonal scoring sailing opportunities than ever before for the ILCA class. There were a total of 26 races sailed over 4 regattas this season. Thank you to all of our host clubs: Sail Newport, Barrington, and Wickford Sailing Association for all of their efforts!
Season scoring is done using a Cox-Sprague system. Sailors needed to sail at least 17 out of the 26 races sailed this season (2/3rds rounded down) to qualify for season scoring. You can learn more about Cox-Sprague on our main Junior Sailing homepage, linked below.
BCRP continues to dominate the ILCA class and the distance between 1st and 2nd place was quite narrow. NBYA was glad to also welcome ILCA sailors from EGYC/GBSA, CYC, Hyannis, NESS/SHYC, and Pleon Yacht Club to compete this season.
Way to go Henry Richards (1st), Theo Fechner (2nd), and Luca Danks (3rd) on an impression seasonal run.
