The starting line for this regatta runs off the EYC docks and provides a “stadium sailing” environment for parents and friends to watch. It is also a great regatta for novice racers—back-half coaching is permitted, the racecourse is condensed, and the logistics are easy for taking a break or retiring. Prizes will be given for the top ten finishers, and the winner gets a place on a perpetual plaque in the EYC clubhouse. Email George Shuster ([gwsjr75@gmail.com](mailto:gwsjr75@gmail.com)) to register\].  [Notice of Race](https://nbya.org/hubfs/2026%20Edgewood%20Opti%20Invitational%20NOR%20(1).pdf)   [Sailing Instructions](https://nbya.org/hubfs/2026%20Edgewood%20Opti%20Invitational%20SIs%20(1).pdf) ## Share this post [mailto:https%3A%2F%2Fnbya.org%2Fnews%2F13th-annual-edgewood-opti-invite](mailto:https%3A%2F%2Fnbya.org%2Fnews%2F13th-annual-edgewood-opti-invite) ## Keep reading ### [![](https://nbya.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Copy%20of%20NBYA.org%20Featured%20Image%201200x630%20(35)-1.png?width=3750&height=1969&name=Copy%20of%20NBYA.org%20Featured%20Image%201200x630%20(35)-1.png) Junior PHRF Results J/Teams Ready for Youth, Collegiate and Offshore Action at Ida Lewis Distance Race](https://nbya.org/news/j/teams-ready-for-youth-collegiate-and-offshore-action-at-ida-lewis-distance-race) ### [![](https://nbya.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Copy%20of%20NBYA.org%20Featured%20Image%201200x630%20(74).png?width=1200&height=630&name=Copy%20of%20NBYA.org%20Featured%20Image%201200x630%20(74).png) Junior Junior Results featured 2026 ILCA Season Results](https://nbya.org/news/2026-ilca-season-results) - [Home](https://nbya.org) - [Junior Sailing](https://nbya.org/junior-sailing) - [Racing & Cruising](https://nbya.org/racing-cruising) - [News](https://nbya.org/news) - [About](https://nbya.org/about) - [Calendar](https://nbya.org/calendar) --- [![Narragansett Bay Yachting Association (NBYA)](https://nbya.org/hs-fs/hubfs/2025-10-21_Burgee_and_NBYA_white.png?width=300&height=92&name=2025-10-21_Burgee_and_NBYA_white.png "Narragansett Bay Yachting Association (NBYA)")](https://nbya.org) ###### Narragansett Bay Yachting Association (NBYA) works to support and grow sailing in Greater Rhode Island.
