2009 NBYA
Bay Championship Series
NBYA is pleased
to continue the Bay Championship Series.
NBYA’s Cruising Class competition has changed
substantially over the years. In the 1980’s
and 1990’s NBYA sponsored many events in a
summer long series of races. At the end of
the year NBYA would award trophies to each
of the season class winners. Gradually
NBYA’s involvement in PHRF racing has
changed. Now our events have been replaced
with a plethora of quality events sponsored
by our member club’s through out the
summer. To recognize the efforts of our
member clubs and to recognize those skippers
with outstanding records, NBYA is sponsoring
a new Bay Championship Series.
We will be following the lead of the GMT
Boat of the Year competition by awarding the
Class trophies to those boats in each class
that end up with the best cumulative
result.
